Get someone that WORKS ON computers to look at it. If a desktop try turn off, reseat cable at back or another keyboard.

you can use the FN key and ESC key at the same time to mute. Or the FN key and 4 key to increase volume, and FN key and 3 keyto decrease volume. You can see the little symbols showing – and + on the #3 and #4 keys.

also I can't find hardware volum control butons on the Toshiba Satellite L755-S5311 Laptop. Then your only option is software commands.

So long as you have not moved anything into the property then no tenancy has been created. This means that your will be liable for any costs that you changing your mind has cost the landlord, but you won’t be tied into the full 6 or 12 months rent that you signed up for.

In the real world – don’t expect to get back any deposit you may have paid.

As you have not paid rent a tenancy has not been created. The landlord could pursue you for breach of contract but as it would cost him an arm and a leg that is most unlikely. Do the decent thing and tell him asap.

In signing the tenancy agreement you have entered into a legal contract. But if have dealt direct with the Landlord and all he knows is your names i guess you could just give the keys back. But if you got to the Landlord via an agent then the agent would have taken all your details. It is VERY unusual for a Landlord to give keys to anyone before the deposit has been paid and reference and the usual checks have been done.

You can change your mind but you are still liable – but if he can relet pretty much immediately it may be a bit of a non-event!
