I am 18 and my sister is 16. We are polar opposites I am very quiet shy and down to earth while she is loud outgoing and dramatic. She has always had a bad temper and ever since she was little has gotten violent with me when she loses her temper. Even at the age she is now she is constantly fighting with everyone in the house and sometimes when she gets angry with me she will throw anything she can find at me. Once I was talking on the phone and she was pissed so she threw an apple at me some car keys and a chunck of metal that went to the computer. Another time she dumped coffee on me for rolling my eyes at a fight her and my mom were having. She has also gotten annoyed with my boyfriend and hit him with a remote! She has never said sorry to me for doing these things she only says it to my parents to avoid getting in further trouble… I mean if she was really sorry she would say it to me. So anyway I pretty much just try to avoid my sister at all costs now cuz its isn’t worth it. My sister wants to be a pro musician and she practices a lot, which can be quite annoying. The other day I told her to shut up because I was sick of her being loud all the time and she started cussing me out at the top of her lungs yelling that I was a F***ing self centered B****. I just snapped and started a physical fight with her which is really out of character. I was just so fed up with everything she has ever done to me and I was sick of sitting there and taking all the abuse from her. Anyway she was freaking out because no one has ever gone after her like that. I know she is going around telling everyone that I was annoyed by her singing and I came out of nowhere and beat her up but it was really for what she yelled and everything shes done and I was sick of her treating me that way. She acts like I went completely crazy and like she has never done anything violent to anyone else. I know it was wrong of me to go after her and I am way to old to be doing stuff like that, but c’mon if you can dish it you should be able to take it right?
btw she wasnt hurt bad just a little hair pulled out and she was just fine and dandy the rest of the day.
I mean should I have just thrown stuff at her instead… maybe she wouldn’t think that that was "violent"
This is like the first time since we are little that I have gotten in a physical fight with her. I am actually very passive… I just hit my breaking point.
I say slap a bitc*. Just keep hitting her until she learns to shut up.
Any advice? I wash my hands often because I am germaphobic and I work at a veterinary clinic, so I don’t want to catch any parasites or infections.
